Assistant Property Manager

The Brodsky Organization is a third-generation New York family owned and managed business that has successfully developed and managed residential and commercial properties in Manhattan and Brooklyn for over sixty years. Our portfolio encompasses over 8,000 residential units and includes more than 1,000 affordable housing units.

We are seeking a full-time, motivated, organized Assistant Property Manager to assist the Property Manager in overseeing daily operations of one or more first class residential properties in NYC. This role includes administration, resident relations, and maintenance coordination.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee properties and tend to the needs of tenants.
  • Respond to resident inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
  • Coordinate maintenance requests and follow up on work orders.
  • Provide office and field support to the Property Manager.
  • Maintain accurate records and files.
  • Conduct move-in inspections to ensure apartments are in ready condition.
  • Conduct move-out inspections and coordinate with Property Manager on any damages, etc.
  • Ensure timely return of security deposits.
  • Liaising with residents regarding rent collections and delinquency management.
  • Schedule moves, amenity reservations
  • Update and maintain reports.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with property management software a plus (e.g. Yardi)

Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000 annually
