Job Title: Construction Laborer

Job Description

Join our team as a Construction Laborer, working from 7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with potential for overtime depending on project needs. This role involves performing general labor tasks, such as demolition, loading/unloading, digging, and clean-up, to support daily operations on a construction site. Your efforts will help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient environment, focusing on general clean tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform demolition, loading/unloading, digging, and clean-up tasks.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and efficient construction site.
• Operate hand and power tools efficiently.
• Support overall project operations through general labor tasks.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years' experience in a commercial or large residential job setting.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, concrete, and carpentry skills.
• Ability to discuss and implement safety precautions in a construction environment.
• OSHA 10 certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, scissor lift, and scaffolding operations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with field concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Good interpersonal skills and a strong team spirit.
• Ability to perform construction activities using various power tools and small machinery.
• Capacity to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions in different forms.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.

Work Environment

The work environment is outdoors, often near moving mechanical parts, and may involve working in high or precarious places. Occasionally, you will encounter wet and/or humid conditions. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Olathe, Kansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
