We are looking for a detail-oriented Corporate Tax Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Fort Mill, South Carolina. In this role, you will primarily focus on sales tax-related tasks, including refreshing and reviewing tax exemption certificates and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This position offers an excellent opportunity to utilize your expertise in corporate tax and accounting within a flexible work environment.

Responsibilities:
• Update and review sales tax exemption certificates to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor and verify customer-submitted documentation, including signatures and registration details.
• Utilize specialized software to manage campaigns and organize tax-related processes.
• Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve missing or outdated tax documents.
• Maintain accurate records in the general ledger and perform journal entries as needed.
• Assist with corporate tax return preparation and submission.
• Conduct reconciliations and ensure alignment with tax regulations.
• Leverage SAP software for effective tracking and reporting of financial data.
• Provide support for manufacturing-related tax and accounting activities.
• Adapt to hybrid work arrangements while maintaining productivity and meeting deadlines.• Proven experience in corporate tax or sales tax processes.
• Familiarity with tax exemption certificates and compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of SAP and other accounting software.
• Strong understanding of general ledger maintenance and journal entries.
• Background in manufacturing or related industry is preferred.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Flexible schedule availability, with hours typically between 8 AM and 5 PM.
