Essential Functions:

• Collaborate with Marketing to conduct research and create design proposals for projects.
• Create concepts, performance, and production criteria.
• Design, build, and test prototypes.
• Provide product cost estimates.
• Evaluate design alternatives based on cost, quality and production feasibility.
• Work with Global Suppliers to optimize and document designs for production.
• Conduct design reviews with the Manufacturing, Finance, Sales and Marketing
• Create BOM’s and routings in ERP System.
• Provide manufacturing and production support for new products and continuous improvement of existing products
• Interact with manufacturing, quality, and line personnel to implement new designs into production.
• Must be able to interact with internal and external customers for conceptual ideas
• Must have design experience designing parts for CNC, injection modeling and castings.

Basic Qualifications

• . B.S. or higher in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years of experience on a product engineering team, with a focus on quality, reliability, and commercialization.
• Proven experience in precision manufacturing and design for manufacture.
• Project management experience,
• Knowledge and experience with supplier management.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Must possess excellent communication (oral and written), project and time management skills.
• Microsoft Office and 3D CAD modeling experience required; SolidWorks preferred.
• Some Travel required to production facilities to evaluate processes.
• Firearm and Accessory experience along with a knowledge of the shooting sports industry strongly preferred.

Working Conditions:

• This position does require Safety Glasses for personal protective equipment. MUST CHECK AND USE POSTED PPE FOR SPECIFIC TASK-POSTED IN JOB AREA.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

• This is a full-time position, Days and hours of work week are Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.
• Willing to work outside standard working hours as needed.
• Some travel may be required.

Physical Requirements:

• This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
