Job Purpose

By utilizing 3D/2D and visual inspection data, the NM Quality Engineer will collect and analyze data, develop countermeasures and oversee and/or lead the Quality data process to meet the die/mold requirement to achieve and/or exceed production KPI targets for long term stability. From their knowledge and experience, they will also feed forward this information into future models to shorten the maturation process, trial events and reduce overall energy.

Key Accountabilities

• Collect and analyze quality data to develop countermeasures to meet Quality targets.
• Evaluate and ensure final quality of dies shipped to production plant.
• Present Quality results to the team and path forward for any non-conforming data.
• Work/Interact with customers to meet customer Quality targets and expectations.
• Develop part supplementals.
• Create Fixture specs for parts produced by tooling.
• Support preliminary new model development to shorten maturation.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent Die Cast, Stamping, or Plastics experience.
• 0-2yrs relevant experience in Die cast, Stamping, or Plastics.
• Must know Microsoft Office. Catia, Polyworks, Keyence knowledge preferred.

Decisions Expected

• Quality data judgement. 
• NG Quality data countermeasure direction and schedule.
• Develop/review customer spec (both tooling and fixture).

Working Conditions

• 40% Office Environment.
• 40% Floor Environment.
• 20% Travel.
