Our Internship Program is designed to provide young professionals with corporate experience that is not offered in the classroom. In addition to supporting their respective department, each intern will have the opportunity to attend professional development sessions, volunteer within the community, and attend company-sponsored social events.
Our 2026 summer internship program begins on Monday, June 1st and ends on Friday, August 7th . Intern positions are paid hourly with a full-time schedule (Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week) for the entirety of the program.
Internship Program Eligibility Requirements: - Must be enrolled in an accredited institution
- Must hold a Sophomore standing
- Must possess a minimum 3.5 GPA
- Must be able to commit 37.5 hours per week Monday-Friday
- Must be able to work onsite in the posted location of the role

Team Description: Are you a driven and ambitious student looking to gain hands-on experience in corporate development and finance? Our rapidly growing business is seeking talented summer interns for this unique role. Interns will be expected to work across various strategic initiatives at American National (AN) and broader Brookfield Wealth Solutions (BWS), which could include M&A, financings, product design, capital management, corporate development, financial analysis, accounting, and more. This role offers mentorship from seasoned investment, finance and senior leadership professionals across both Brookfield and American National, with numerous opportunities to demonstrate skills and business acumen.
What We're Looking For: - Candidates who are currently pursuing courses in finance, accounting, business, insurance, or economics
- Prior exposure to investment banking, private equity, credit, or asset management is a plus
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel and PowerPoint)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Sound problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to take initiative and be a self-starter
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail with high-level accuracy
- Must be able to meet deadlines and balance changing priorities
What You Can Expect to Do in the Role: - Partner with various teams and leadership across American National and Brookfield Wealth Solutions, building relationships and supporting in execution of value-creation initiatives
- Prepare presentations and other analyses to support senior leadership decision-making, as well as communications with external stakeholders
- Develop financial and insurance capital models (including public company valuation, credit analysis, and insurance capital impacts)
- Conduct research and provide strategic advisory to senior leadership on the development of various strategies, products, end-markets, and potential transaction opportunities
- Complete project and support tasks with guidance from mentor and department leader
