We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician with a valid Fire Alarm License (FAL) to install, maintain, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems in commercial buildings. The ideal candidate will ensure that all fire alarm installations comply with industry standards, local codes, and NFPA regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, program, inspect, and service fire alarm systems in commercial properties.

  • Troubleshoot and repair fire alarm system components, including control panels, detectors, and notification devices.

  • Conduct routine inspections and testing to ensure compliance with fire codes and regulations.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams for system installations.

  • Ensure all work meets NFPA, state, and local fire codes.

  • Work closely with general contractors, electricians, and other trades to complete projects efficiently.

  • Maintain detailed service records and complete required documentation for compliance.

  • Provide exceptional customer service and technical support to clients.

  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment, following OSHA safety regulations.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Valid Fire Alarm License (FAL) required.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience installing and servicing fire alarm systems.

  • Strong knowledge of NFPA 72 and local fire codes.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.

  • Experience working with various fire alarm manufacturers and systems.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and work in various environmental conditions.

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening.

Preferred Skills:
  • NICET certification in fire alarm systems.

  • Experience with voice evacuation and mass notification systems.

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to train and mentor junior technicians.
