Summary
Join our dedicated team at Gooding Elementary School as a part-time Food Service Produce Prep team member. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring that our students receive fresh, nutritious meals. You will assist in the preparation and presentation of fruits and vegetables, contributing to a healthy school environment. This position offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children. This position is a 5 hour/day, 4 days/week position.

Responsibilities
- Wash, peel, chop, and prepare fruits and vegetables for daily meal service.
- Ensure all food preparation areas are clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Assist in the assembly and presentation of meals and snacks.
- Maintain inventory of produce and report any shortages or quality issues to the supervisor.
- Follow established recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency and quality.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.
- Participate in training sessions and adhere to food safety standards and protocols.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Food Service Manager.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in food preparation or kitchen work is a plus, but not required.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Must pass background check as required by school district policies. Gooding Joint School District
