Staff Management Group is seeking a Forklift Driver for our client in Port Reading, NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.

Schedule

• 3rd shift: 10PM - 6:30AM

Pay Rate

• $24 / hour

Job Summary

We are seeking reliable and experienced Forklift Drivers for our Port Reading, NJ location. This is a hands-on role involving both forklift operation and physical labor, including moving large cooler water bottles. Candidates must have the physical stamina to keep up with the demands of a night shift and be ready to contribute to a fast-paced team environment. 

Job Responsibilities

• Carry out general warehouse duties, which may include loading and unloading, order picking, packing, shipping, receiving, operating forklifts, and conducting cycle counts.
• Ensure all tasks are performed in alignment with the performance standards outlined in the contract.
• Accurately pick, pack, audit, stage products, and manage the loading and unloading of trucks.
• Handle routine warehouse paperwork, such as pick lists, return documentation, and bills of lading.
• Provide support for technical issues and maintenance related to the automated packing systems during core production hours.
• Follow established performance metrics and complete assignments as directed by leadership.
• Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support warehouse operations.

Job Requirements  

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• At least one (1) year of experience working in a warehouse and/or operating powered industrial equipment is preferred.
• Must hold a valid and current Forklift Operator Certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Able to collaborate effectively in a diverse, fast-paced workplace.
• Highly dependable, punctual, and capable of maintaining a strong attendance record.
• Demonstrates initiative, accuracy, and attention to detail—even under pressure.
• Must be physically capable of lifting and/or pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
• Able to stand for extended periods and follow all health and safety protocols.
• Willing to work flexible hours and rotating shifts as needed.
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through on assigned tasks.
