💼 Full-Time | Starting Salary: $55,000/year

Miami Arts Charter School is seeking an experienced, dynamic High School Humanities Teacher to join our team for the 2025–2026 school year. We are especially interested in candidates who bring a background in the arts and a passion for interdisciplinary instruction that connects history, literature, culture, and the human experience.

Since opening in 2009, Miami Arts Charter School has been a leading arts-integrated public charter school serving grades 6–12. Located in the heart of Miami’s renowned Wynwood Arts District, our school admits students through a competitive application and audition process in the performing and fine arts. Our classrooms are filled with engaged, creative, and high-achieving students—ready to be inspired by educators who share their passion for both academics and the arts.

All instruction is aligned to the Florida State Standards and designed to support both rigorous academic achievement and creative exploration.

Responsibilities:

• Teach interdisciplinary Humanities courses at the high school level, incorporating elements of history, literature, culture, and the arts
• Design and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lesson plans
• Integrate creative and critical thinking opportunities into all instruction
• Build strong relationships with students and foster a respectful classroom culture
• Track and communicate student progress effectively
• Participate in school-wide initiatives, faculty collaboration, and professional development

Qualifications:

• State of Florida Teaching Certificate (Professional or Temporary) OR Statement of Eligibility
• Prior teaching experience at the high school level preferred
• Strong background in Social Studies, English Language Arts, or related field
• Arts background or experience in arts integration strongly preferred
• Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills
• Passion for interdisciplinary teaching and supporting the growth of talented students
