Insulator – Maintenance (Hopewell, VA) Essential Qualifications Minimum 3 years experience as an insulator and in installing insulation blankets. Local candidate preferred. 40+ hours per week. Ability to pass the craft test. Successful completion of a written pre‑employment qualification test. Post‑offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation. Functional Requirements Install and finish insulation on boilers, pipes, tanks, refrigeration units and machinery. Tasks include fabricating insulation blankets, applying trowels, cement, and covers, assembling and securing detachable insulation for valves, and providing sound dampening and thermal performance. All work is performed with appropriate safety gear. Compensation Final scheduled hourly rate is based on individual qualifications and experience. Physical Involvement Lifting 30-50 pounds, climbing ladders and scaffolds, reaching, carrying, standing, walking, and operating tools.
