Description
Position Summary:
The IT Technician I & EHR Support Specialist is a dual-function role supporting both general IT operations and electronic health records (EHR) systems. This position is responsible for ensuring smooth daily operation of IT hardware and software systems while also serving as a key resource in EHR administration, data reporting, and system projects.
Major Responsibilities:
Providing technical support including:
- Installation, configuration, and maintenance of computers, printers, mobile devices, and related hardware.
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues promptly.
- Performing daily system checks and escalating issues to the IT Manager.
- Documenting procedures, configurations, and support tasks.
Provides EHR system administration and support including:
- Managing user accounts, permissions, and system settings.
- Creating and executing SQL queries and ad hoc reports.
- Developing dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI.
- Leading or contributing to EHR integration projects.
- Responding to support requests through the ticketing system.
Other Responsibilities:
- Ensures compliance with IT policies, data security standards, and relevant regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
- Demonstrates cultural responsiveness and professionalism in all interactions.
- Actively participates in the agency's Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives.
Qualities:
Ability to work independently, learn and document new tasks, and solve problems efficiently. Strong interpersonal and communication skills required. Must be capable of working in confined spaces, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Requirements
Education and Qualifications:
Associate or bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field preferred. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft, SQL) and/or equivalent experience may be considered.
