Sev1Tech is seeking a motivated and detail?oriented Junior Network Engineer to join our team in supporting the US Space Force meshONE?T program. This position will assist in the management, configuration, and troubleshooting of the network infrastructure and is ideal for someone looking to build a career in network engineering and gain hands?on experience with networking technologies. The role is based in the Denver, CO area.

Job Responsibilities

• Implement various network solutions including design, configuration, integration, testing, launch, troubleshooting and ongoing support of innovative networking technologies.
• Perform system?level design and configuration of products such as routers, switches, NGFW, and other network devices.
• Support the testing and installation of network communications systems, including LAN/WAN systems.
• Diagnose and resolve network issues related to hardware, software, and connectivity.
• Support updates to all documents when there is a change in the transport design and/or technologies and collaborate with all stakeholders to test all related systems and processes to verify that the systems meet requirements and can host applications with no degradation to performance or security.
• Maintain configuration management of the system to include updating network documentation, network diagrams, configuration files, and inventory lists.
• Utilize software and hardware tools to identify and diagnose complex problems and factors affecting network performance.
• Communicate effectively with other project groups such as cybersecurity, network, operations, and Program Management teams to assist with the installation and troubleshooting of systems components.
• Work closely with senior network engineers and other IT staff on network projects and initiatives, including upgrades and migrations.
• Stay current with networking technologies and industry best practices. Participate in training and certification programs as required.

Position Details

• Position is based out of the Denver Tech Center with some travel throughout the Colorado Front Range Area (Colorado Springs to Boulder).
• Less than 10% travel out of state.
• Non?supervisory position.
• meshONE?T is a closed network and the expectation is at least 4 days per week on?site or at a customer location.
• Clearance: Must be currently eligible for a TS/SCI.

Salary

$80,000 $100,000

Minimum Qualifications

• Basic network engineering experience with functions and concepts of a wide area network and network engineering.
• IP networking experience (subnetting, routing), IPv4/IPv6.
• Current Security+ certification.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with routing/switching configuration and troubleshooting to at least CCNA level.
• Experience with NetBrain, SolarWinds, Infoblox, and ITSM.
• Experience working in Department of Defense or on other Federal contracts.
