Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Desk Clerk to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role involves front desk operations, handling guest inquiries, and taking the lead on front desk tasks and ensuring time-off requests are covered. A strong background in guest services and hotel management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in and check-out procedures.
• Manage reservations, cancellations, and modifications efficiently using hotel management software.
• Respond to guest inquiries via phone and in-person, providing information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and services.
• Handle phone systems with professionalism, ensuring excellent phone etiquette at all times.
• Maintain a clean and organized front desk area to enhance the guest experience.
• Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to address any guest issues promptly.
• Assist with special requests or accommodations for guests to enhance their stay.

Requirements

• Previous experience in guest services or hospitality preferred but not required, particularly in a hotel setting.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle situations gracefully.
• Familiarity with front desk operations and phone systems.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to work flexible hours if needed, including nights and weekends.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50 per hour
