About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a M&A Associate to join the team in Paris and work in close coordination with industry / M&A teams in London and the US. The Associate will work in a sector-agnostic team with a focus on large cross-border transactions between Europe and the US. The team is looking to grow over the next years to cater for the increasing flow of cross-border transactions The role involves performing the tasks of an Associate in an M&A team. These include, but are not limited to, working on client coverage materials, transaction origination and execution of M&A mandates. In this role, you will:

  • Perform the tasks of an M&A Associate in an M&A team. Working as part of a team consisting of Analysts, Vice Presidents, Directors and Managing Directors.
  • Create detailed analysis and financial models used for valuation purposes.
  • Prepare marketing documents, including pitch materials, confidential offering memoranda, management presentations, fairness opinions and board presentations.
  • Prepare various industry analysis, including market trends, key growth drivers and industry dynamics.
  • Conduct extensive financial and industry due diligence to evaluate the risk/return parameters of a transaction.
  • Manage several projects at once and working effectively as an individual while supervising analysts and interns.
  • Support senior bankers in their relationship management responsibilities, including interaction with current and prospective clients.
  • Perform key steps in a transaction execution process from origination to completion.
  • Build relationships and maintaining direct contact with current and prospective clients.
  • Manage, develop and mentor analysts and participate in the recruitment efforts.
  • Work in a spirit of transparency and teamwork at the ethical standard that is required.
Required Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or equivalent qualification required from a top tier school.
  • Minimum three years investment banking experience at a major international investment bank or three years transaction services experience at a Big Four.
  • Experience working on sell-side and buy-side M&A transactions for Corporate clients and Private Equity.
  • Proficient use of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and financial database (FactSet, Mergermarket and Refinitiv).
  • Strong quantitative/analytical skills with mastery of accounting and valuation.
  • Demonstrated excellence in working effectively as an individual and as part of a team; ability to coordinate with internal stakeholders in a time-constrained environment

  • Effectuer les tâches d'un associé F&A au sein d'une équipe F&A. Travailler au sein d'une équipe composée d'analystes, de vice-présidents, de directeurs et de directeurs généraux.
  • Créer des analyses et des modèles financiers détaillés utilisés à des fins d'évaluation.
  • Préparer des documents de marketing, y compris y compris des supports de présentation, des présentations de la direction, des avis d'équité et des présentations du conseil d'administration.
  • Préparer diverses analyses sectorielles, y compris les tendances du marché, les principaux moteurs de croissance et la dynamique du secteur.
  • Réaliser des vérifications financières et sectorielles préalables approfondies afin d'évaluer les paramètres de risque/rendement d'une transaction.
  • Gérer plusieurs projets à la fois et travailler efficacement en tant qu'individu tout en supervisant les analystes et les stagiaires.
  • Soutenir les banquiers seniors dans leurs responsabilités de gestion de la relation client, y compris l'interaction avec les clients actuels et potentiels.
  • Effectuer les étapes clés d'un processus d'exécution de transaction, de la mise en place à la réalisation.
  • Établir des relations et maintenir un contact direct avec les clients actuels et potentiels.

Qualifications requises pour l'Europe, le Moyen-Orient et l'Afrique :
  • Master ou qualification équivalente d'une école de premier rang.
  • Au moins trois ans d'expérience dans les services bancaires d'investissement dans une grande banque d'investissement internationale ou trois ans d'expérience en services de transaction auprès d'un membre Big Four.
  • Expérience de travail sur des transactions de F&A du côté des ventes (sell-side) et des achats (buy side) pour des entreprises clientes et des sociétés de capital-investissement.
  • Maîtrise d'Excel, PowerPoint, Word et des bases de données financières (FactSet, Mergermarket et Refinitiv).
  • Solides compétences quantitatives/analytiques avec une maîtrise de la comptabilité et de l'évaluation.
  • Excellente aptitude à travailler efficacement individuellement et en équipe ; capacité à coordonner les activités avec les parties prenantes internes dans un environnement où le temps joue un rôle primordial.
