Job Title: Packaging Engineer

Your Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of packaging materials and packaging equipment for multiple platforms (blister, bottle, syringe, vial, cartons, commercial displays, etc.)
• Networked with supply chain and commercial to determine internal customer needs and combine to implement with external Contract Manufacturers (CMs).
• Liaison project manager between marketing, commercial, and supply chain retail/OTC projects and cross-functional teams at client site.
• Interface with internal teams and external suppliers to conduct packaging testing (including shipping validations) of packaging materials and packaged components.
• Support the process, qualification, and validation of packaging equipment on key projects that evaluates the new or modified packaging components at CMs and internal client sites.

• What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):

  • Education: BS degree in packaging engineering or equivalent engineering experience.
  • Experience: at least 2-5 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent cross functional networking and influencing ability, with project management skills showing ability to support projects with contract manufacturing organizations.

• What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):

  • US Retail Packaging Market Practices
  • Prior packaging experience.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities including strategic and creative thinking
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and deal with ambiguity
  • Must have experience in working with equipment vendors and distributors, for packaging engineering projects and support activities.
