The Johns Hopkins Hospital -
Meyer 3 Acute Inpatient Psychiatric Unit and Psychiatric Emergency Department is a 22-bed adult psychiatric acute care inpatient unit for patients with a variety of psychiatric disorders, including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and other severe mental illnesses, including addictions. Many of our patients come from this community, and most are admitted through the psychiatry emergency department. Our patients with addictions are often discharged to the recovery focused programs for further addictions treatment, and general psychiatric patients are referred to community psychiatry settings for their aftercare.
The Clinical Tech Intern works under the supervision of a nurse, and taking into consideration the developmental needs of the patient, performs routine patient activities and delegated patient care procedures of a specialized and technical nature as competency documentation designates.

Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent required
- Active Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in Maryland is required.
- Entry-level knowledge of basic clinical skills required to support nursing personnel with patient care activities and related services focused on the needs and comfort of patients. PCT Intern will remain in an intern role for no longer than 1 year. The PCT Intern will advance to the PCT I upon meeting training requirements.
- BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted.

Salary Range: Minimum 18.00/hour - Maximum 18.00/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
