Position Summary

The Pest Control Technician at Rock Pest Control is responsible for providing high-quality pest management services to residential, commercial, and multifamily customers. This position requires strong attention to detail, professional communication, and a commitment to following service standards that ensure safety, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.

Technicians perform a variety of pest control treatments, inspections, and follow-ups, while maintaining accurate documentation and excellent relationships with customers. They represent Rock Pest Control in the field every day—delivering peace of mind through reliable service and professionalism.

· Customers consistently experience prompt, professional, and thorough service resulting in referrals and repeat business.

· All scheduled routes are completed daily, with accurate notes, clean equipment, and consistent follow-through.

· Documentation in FieldRoutes is complete, clear, and entered in real time.

· Technicians maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude that builds trust with customers.

· Equipment, trucks, and tools are maintained in clean, organized, and safe working condition.

Objectives

  • Complete all assigned residential, commercial, and multifamily pest control services daily—including initials, quarterlies, and bimonthlies—with 100% accuracy in FieldRoutes.
  • Deliver effective pest control treatments on interiors and exteriors, following product labels, safety standards, and company procedures.
  • Build customer relationships through professional communication, education, and follow-up to ensure satisfaction and retention.
  • Accurately document all services, treatments, and observations in FieldRoutes, ensuring clarity for customers and team members.
  • Solve pest issues within the parameters of the service agreement while upholding Rock Pest Control’s quality standards.
  • Maintain clean, organized trucks, tools, and equipment to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
  • Communicate proactively with office and branch staff to report scheduling, product, or service-related issues.
  • Represent Rock Pest Control professionally with clean uniform, positive attitude, and dependable service.
  • Manage time efficiently by following optimized routes, prioritizing safety, and maximizing productivity.
  • Continuously improve pest knowledge and skills through ongoing training and certification programs.
  • Follow all state and company safety policies, including proper PPE and pesticide handling procedures.
  • Uphold Rock Pest Control’s values of integrity, teamwork, and continual improvement in every customer interaction.

Education and Experience

Initial 90-Day Onboarding Period
The first 90 days serve as a mutual evaluation period to ensure performance and culture fit.

Licensing and Certification Requirements
Must obtain a Structural Pest Control License within 90 days of employment. Within six months, must add Wood Destroying Insect (WDI) certification and additional categories as required. Continuing education hours are supported by Rock Pest Control.

Experience
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in pest control preferred. Experience with residential or commercial accounts is a plus.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders up to one story, and work in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoor environments.
Must be able to walk 3–5 miles per day while carrying equipment.
Must maintain valid driver’s license and professional appearance.
