Local Team Collaboration:

• Join our 4 physician hospitalist team at Oak Valley District Hospital.
• Here you’re not just a provider — you’re a neighbor, a team member, and a valued part of a high-quality care environment.
• Consistently manageable volumes and time to work at a pace that focuses on quality, meaningful care.

Qualifications:

• Board certified/eligible in internal medicine or family medicine with inpatient experience.
• Procedural skills are preferred, but at a minimum.
• Open to J1 visa candidates; Sound provides in-house visa specialists.

Scheduling:

• 24-hour shift and at least 9 shifts a month. Flexible schedule
• Sleeping arrangements available with 5+ hours of protective sleep included

Key Responsibilities:

• Comfortable with limited specialists, but will have some procedural support
• Managing an open 4-bed ICU

• Oakdale is known as the Cowboy Capital of the World and attracts visitors from all over annually
• This area’s attractions include Woodward Reservoir, Cowboy Museum, Orange Blossom Recreation Area, and Greger Basin
• The natural beauty of Oakdale is unbeatable! The Stanislaus River and the Sierra Nevada foothills are close by. Also, this area is considered the gateway to Yosemite National Park, Dodge Ski Resort, and Stanislaus National Forest.
• We have excellent schools and a strong, close-knit, safe community.
• This is also near two major cities – Modesto and Stockton.

Rewards and Benefits:

• Compensation: $268- $345k+, dependent on the number of shifts worked per month.
  • Full-time is 7-9 (24-hour shifts) per month.
  • Quality bonus and productivity bonus eligibility are in addition to base compensation.
