Plant Manager – Automotive Manufacturing | Southeastern US

We’re seeking a proven Plant Manager to lead the transformation of our Gainesville, GA facility – a critical site within a global organization known for engineering excellence. This is a high-impact role with full P&L responsibility and the mandate to deliver operational and cultural turnaround. Success is not optional—this leader will stabilize performance, embed structure, and drive measurable results across safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
What You’ll Do
· Lead all plant operations (production, maintenance, engineering, logistics) with full accountability.
· Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement to eliminate waste and improve efficiency.
· Build and mentor high-performing teams; assess current talent and strengthen leadership bench.
· Promote coaching and mentoring across the organization by supporting people development, structured training programs, and knowledge transfer from external resources.
· Manage P&L and capital budgets to restore financial health.
· Implement tiered daily management and KPI cadence to drive transparency and accountability.
· Collaborate with global and regional stakeholders to align strategic priorities and support new customer programs.
· Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, safety, and environmental standards.
What You Bring
· 20+ years in manufacturing, including 10+ years in plant/operations leadership.
· Proven success in turnaround environments and/or post-merger integration.
· Background in plastic injection molding and metal forming.
· Strong expertise in Lean/Six Sigma, SAP, and KPI-driven performance
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
· Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
