RN - Outpatient Oncology Infusion at Providence Health and Services summary:

The RN - Outpatient Oncology Infusion nurse administers chemotherapy, manages venous access devices, and provides direct patient care with a focus on oncology infusion therapy. This role requires a nursing degree, relevant licenses, and preferably oncology and chemotherapy administration experience. Description

The outpatient infusion nurse has knowledge of Oncology, chemotherapy administration, side effects, infusion therapy, blood product administration, pain management, knowledge and skills with port-a-caths and all venous access devices. The infusion nurse applies the nursing process in direct patient care and coordinates the interdisciplinary team to intervene according to assessment findings.

Required Qualifications:

  • Nursing degree/diploma.
  • Upon hire: Washington Registered Nurse License
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Chemotherapy administration experience
  • 2 years Nursing
  • 2 years Oncology experience
