As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Officer in Crozier, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Armed Security Professional, where you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents within a government location. This is an armed and driving post, requiring you to respond quickly and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor for suspicious activity and/or security-related concerns, reporting any incidents according to site protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned area to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
  • Assist with access control, verifying credentials and/or identification as required by site-specific guidelines.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency personnel as needed during incidents or emergencies.
  • Document observations, incidents, and/or activities in daily reports as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
