Job Description

As a Security Professional - - Armed Government Facility - Full Time in Lumberton, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence. This armed and driving post involves conducting routine patrols, maintaining visibility, and delivering outstanding customer service and communication. You will play a key role in supporting a secure environment while upholding our values of agility, reliability, and integrity, all within a caring, people-first culture that thrives on teamwork and innovation.

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings according to established protocols.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances or violations within the location.
• Interact professionally with visitors, staff, and/or contractors, providing assistance as needed while upholding security-related protocols.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and/or activities during each shift.
• Follow all Allied Universal and client site-specific policies and procedures, including those related to the carrying and use of firearms.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
• Possess an armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
