Senior Accountant — Confidential Construction/Project-Based Company Birmingham, AL | $85,000–$95,000 | Full-Time A long-established, project-based company in Birmingham (construction/engineering environment) is seeking a Senior Accountant to support job cost accounting, month-end close, and corporate financial reporting. You’ll work with a tight-knit and highly respected accounting team with long tenure, strong leadership, and a reputation for treating people well. Responsibilities Job cost and WIP accounting Month-end close, reconciliations, accruals, journal entries Financial reporting and analysis for project managers Support budgeting and forecasting Assist with process improvements and special projects Qualifications Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance 3–7 years experience in construction, engineering, manufacturing, or similar project-based industries Experience with job cost accounting strongly preferred Solid Excel skills and a steady, reliable approach Apply Confidentially Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
