Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer to join our team of technical experts and this is located in Attleboro, MA. This senior-level position is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing complex network and security infrastructures. The role focuses heavily on **Fortinet technologies**—including FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, and SD-WAN—while also managing enterprise routers, switches, and connectivity solutions.
The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in both cloud and on-premise network security, excels at troubleshooting, and demonstrates exceptional communication and leadership skills. This is a hands-on role supporting high-impact projects, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement in performance and security.
Key Responsibilities
Design, Implementation & Deployment
- Architect, configure, and deploy multi-site network and security solutions leveraging Fortinet products and related technologies.
- Lead large-scale infrastructure migrations, ensuring secure, seamless client transitions.
- Conduct testing, validation, documentation, and client training for successful deployment.
Technical Leadership & Support
- Act as a senior escalation point for complex network and security incidents.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices across the team.
- Collaborate directly with clients, translating complex technical solutions into clear and actionable recommendations.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for escalated incidents as needed.
Solution Optimization & Innovation
- Perform proactive assessments of client environments to identify and address vulnerabilities, performance gaps, and opportunities for efficiency.
- Stay current with emerging network technologies, cyber threats, and product advancements.
Documentation & Collaboration
- Create and maintain detailed documentation, including network diagrams, solution designs, and operational procedures.
- Partner with sales and technical teams to ensure project alignment and provide pre-sales engineering support.
Qualifications
Required
- 8+ years of progressive experience in **network security engineering**, implementation, or technical support within MSSP, ISP, or enterprise settings.
- Advanced, hands-on experience with **Fortinet solutions**: FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, FortiClient, FortiAuthenticator, FortiManager, and FortiSASE.
- Strong background in **enterprise networking**: routing, switching, Wi-Fi, VPN, SD-WAN, and WAN technologies.
- Proven ability to lead complex security projects and large-scale network migrations.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and client-facing skills.
Preferred
- Industry certifications such as **Fortinet NSE7/FCP, CCNP/CCIE, CISSP**, or similar.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with other enterprise solutions (Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, Palo Alto, or Extreme Networks).
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $160,000 – $200,000 per year
- Car Allowance: $415 per month
