Description Amazon Freight is building a disruptive transportation product with the vision of redefining shipping for its customers. The goal is to develop easy-to-use, reliable and transparent transportation services that raise the customer experience bar relative to all existing shipping alternatives. In doing this, Amazon is deeply studying customer shipping needs and building innovative, market-leading solutions that will organically attract customers towards our services. To enable us to succeed in this large endeavor, we are looking for a Sr. Program Manager to play a critical role in identifying shortage within the supply chain, produce reporting for shortages, root cause those details and put preventative measure in place for Amazon Freight. This individual will be tasked with partnering across several internal and external partner teams to drive a best-in-class solution for preventing shortages or reacting quickly to recover value for our customers. This will include having firm timelines with stakeholders and working backwards from the end goal. Main areas of ownership include: (1) partnering with internal Amazon teams on best practices, (2) building mechanisms that enable best-in-class shortage tracking, (3) conducting analyses to determine root cause, and (4) scaling mechanisms to drive a reduction in Amazon Freight's network shortage and time to detect shortage. Key job responsibilities - Partner with teams across the business to source, allocate, and coordinate resources - Influence design and development of strategic processes - Work with program managers, supply chain managers, product managers and business leaders to communicate and impact critical business initiatives - Gather and analyze data to drive business decisions - Innovate to improve processes and continuously remove cost from operations - Engage other Amazon business units to share best practices and improve end to end outcomes for Amazon customers Basic Qualifications - 5+ years of program or project management experience - Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements - Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership - Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.) - Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams Preferred Qualifications - Master's degree, or MBA in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field - Experience defining and executing program requirements - Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements - Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
