ABR is recruiting for a STAFF ACCOUNTANT for a long-standing company in Stevens Point. The starting salary is $45K - $55K plus benefits.

The Staff Accountant is responsible for providing operational and program support to the Company’s Management Team. This position is involved in all reporting and control matters as they relate to financial statement reporting, budget management, cost benefit analysis, and forecasting for the company.

Staff Accountant Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for the preparation journal entries for the general ledger.
2. Complete various standard internal management reports and other reports requested by the management team to make informed business decisions. 
3. Interact effectively and professionally with management and coworkers.
4. Assist in reviewing, developing and maintaining systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the organization.
5. Investigate variances and assist in improving company results based on stated goals. 
6. Participate in the development and implementation of financial reporting procedures to create efficiencies.

Staff Accountant Knowledge and Requirements:

1. Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. 
2. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, and projections.
3. Ability to work in conjunction with the Management team to recommend areas of improvement and growth.
4. Excellent communication and computer skills.
5. Capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.

Staff Accountant Education and Experience:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
