LHH is working on a new Tax Accountant opening for a public accounting client of ours here in Columbus, OH. This is a perfect opportunity for a recent accounting graduate who is interested public tax! The role is responsible for supporting and preparing a variety of tax filings including working on both routine and complex tax assignments, collaborating with colleagues, management, and clients to deliver high-quality results. Key Duties

• Complete tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, nonprofits, and trusts.

• Perform foundational tax research and handle related correspondence.

• Assist with tax planning and preparation support tasks.

• Organize and manage client documentation and deliverables.

• Guarantee compliance with deadlines for federal, state, and local tax filings.

• Uphold quality standards throughout all tax processes.

• Contribute to special projects and tax-related initiatives.

• Work closely with team members, clients, and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting.

• Up to three years of experience in public accounting (entry-level applicants welcome).

• Strong teamwork skills and a positive, collaborative approach.

• Solid understanding of finance, accounting principles, budgeting, and cost controls, including GAAP.

• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other relevant software.

• Analytical mindset with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

• Adaptable to change, able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

• CPA certification or progress toward CPA designation preferred but not required

• Familiarity with federal and state tax laws preferred but not required

• Ability to pick up new software systems quickly

Pay Details: $55,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year
