The Opportunity

We seek a creative, highly motivated Scientist to join the Pharmaceutical Development Department in US-Pharma Technology Development. An ideal candidate would have direct experience with characterization and handling of proteins, monoclonal antibodies or other forms of biologics. Experience and knowledge in formulation development, protein stability as well as a general background in biophysical chemistry are highly desirable. For this position, the chosen individual would contribute to the pipeline development, design and execute experiments and then interact and communicate their findings with multidisciplinary groups and cross functional project teams.

Who You Are

  • Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Science, Chemical Engineering, Biophysical Chemistry or related field with 0-5 years of relevant experience.
  • A broad expertise in biological pharmaceutical development, biophysical chemistry and biological characterization.
  • A proven track record of independently designing, executing and analyzing experiments including timely documentation.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Ability to contribute critical analysis beyond field of expertise in a scientifically diverse organization.
  • Proficiency in lab work, willingness to follow through on deliverables and internal passion for scientific innovation are essential.
  • Experience with biophysical chemistry techniques such as light scattering, mass spectrometry, fluorescence, nuclear magnetic resonance, circular dichroism, infrared and Raman spectroscopy, etc. is a plus.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of South San Francisco, CA is $104,700 - $194,400. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed below
