Shift: Day and Mid
Schedule: 5x8-Hour (07:00–15:30 and 15:30–00:00), variable start times, every other weekend required

Job Summary:

The Inpatient Pharmacist will provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care in a hospital setting, ensuring safe and effective medication use. The role includes working in both adult and pediatric units, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and maintaining compliance with hospital protocols. The position requires flexibility for variable shifts and weekend rotations.

 

Job Duties:

• Review and verify physician orders for accuracy and appropriateness.
• Prepare and dispense medications in accordance with established procedures.
• Provide drug information and consultation to medical staff.
• Monitor patient medication therapies for drug interactions and contraindications.
• Participate in medication reconciliation and patient education.
• Support the pediatric hospital unit as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in EMR systems.
• Adhere to all regulatory and safety standards.

 

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of pharmacist experience in Hospital 
• PharmD or Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• Willingness to work with pediatric patients
• Active WI license or eligibility under Act10 temporary licensure

 

Additional Details:

• Floating: Not specified (assume within pharmacy department)
• On-call: 0.1% differential
• Holiday Call: 1.5x pay on observed holidays
• Orientation: 8 hours non-billable + 16 hours at 70% billable
• Work Hours Policy: 40 total hours/week guaranteed
