2nd Shift Urethane Operator - Manufacturing - $19.75/Hour

Are you a motivated individual with mechanical aptitude looking for a 2nd shift opportunity in manufacturing? We are seeking a reliable Urethane Operator to join our growing team! In this role, you will operate and maintain equipment used in the production of polyurethane parts. Schedule:

Monday - Thursday, 2:00 PM - 12:00 AM (Enjoy a 3-day weekend!) $19.75 an hour

Position Overview:

As a Urethane Operator , you will be crucial in the production of high-quality polyurethane parts. This position involves setting up and operating specialized machinery, handling materials, ensuring product quality, and adhering to strict safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Machine Operation:
  • Set up and operate urethane processing machinery , including mixing and dispensing units, and various molding presses (compression, injection, or casting).
  • Operate curing ovens to ensure proper processing of parts.
  • Monitor critical machine parameters such as temperature, pressure, and flow rates to ensure optimal operation and product quality.
  • Make necessary adjustments to machinery to enhance performance and meet precise production specifications.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of machine malfunctions and carry out minor repairs or adjustments.
  • Follow detailed work instructions , blueprints , and technical drawings to guarantee accurate production.
• Material Handling and Preparation:
  • Handle and prepare raw materials, typically including isocyanates and polyols , along with various additives.
  • Accurately measure and mix chemical components according to specific formulations.
  • Load and unload materials and finished polyurethane products.
  • Ensure the proper storage and handling of all chemicals and materials in strict accordance with safety regulations.
• Quality Control:
  • Thoroughly inspect finished polyurethane parts for any defects, including bubbles, voids, incorrect dimensions, or surface imperfections.
  • Utilize measuring tools and equipment with precision to verify that all parts meet established quality standards and specifications.
  • Monitor and accurately record production data, including material usage, processing parameters, and detailed quality checks.
  • Promptly identify and report any quality issues or deviations from specifications.
• Safety and Maintenance:
  • Strictly adhere to all safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe working environment, including the consistent and correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) .
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment, such as cleaning and lubricating components.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or potential safety hazards to supervisors immediately.

• Ability to interpret blueprints .
• Proficiency in utilizing measuring tools with precision.
• Ability to safely operate machinery.
• Reliability and a strong work ethic.
• 1 year of recent related work experience
