Marathon TS is seeking qualified and skilled individuals to join our NGEN team. NGEN is the Next Generation Enterprise Network responsible for maintaining and modernizing the global network of the Navy and Marine Corps.

We are seeking a highly skilled Virtual Server Administrator MID to manage and operate a virtualized Microsoft (MS) environment in support of mission-critical operations. This role requires hands-on experience in administering enterprise Windows-based infrastructure, including daily monitoring, maintenance, and incident resolution to ensure optimal system performance and availability.

Required Qualifications

Education:

High School Diploma or GED with relevant experience may be acceptable based on contract requirements.)

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of I.T. experience, with a preference for defense space.

Clearance:

Active Top Secret

Certification:

• DoD 8570 IAT Level II (Required)
• VMware Certified Associate (VCA) – required at start.
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP) – must obtain within 6 months of start.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily system checks, analyze system logs, and respond to alerts across various enterprise management tools.
• Execute patch management tasks for servers to maintain system security and compliance.
• Notify designated Government representatives of any system issues impacting operational performance.
• Conduct routine system audits and execute maintenance to sustain system health and integrity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support personnel to resolve incidents and infrastructure events.
• Maintain strict adherence to change management protocols, incident resolution processes, and troubleshooting standards.
• Utilize remote management tools to monitor, manage, and troubleshoot server infrastructure.
• Support core Windows infrastructure services such as Active Directory (AD), Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), and Windows failover clustering.

Requirements:

• Active Top Secret clearance.
• VMware Certified Associate (VCA) – required at start.
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP) – must obtain within 6 months of start.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft enterprise environments, virtualization, and infrastructure support.
• Proven experience with system auditing, patch management, and incident handling.
• Proficiency with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and clustering technologies.
• Knowledge and application of remote administration tools and enterprise system monitoring practices.
