Job Position: Order Picker

Brief Description

Responsible for labeling and consolidating products accurately, picking and pulling cartons/boxes; placing materials on pallets or in staging areas and/or other applicable spaces within the warehouse. Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks, matching material documents to requested orders. Other duties as necessary (labeling, cleaning, sweeping, mopping, maintenance, and special projects).

• Consolidate cartons and material from storage areas accurately and within specified performance requirements
• Consolidate inbound and outbound freight from trailers and/or containers
• Ensure that there is no damage to the product and verify received against the physical count of stock
• Read, decode, and decipher product coding to expedite order movement
• Maintain a clean, orderly workstation, returned supplies, and merchandise to assigned locations and cleaned the work area at the end of each shift
• Ability to stand and walk for a full workday
• Performs all tasks in compliance with Tellworks safety policy and OSHA requirements

Job Requirements

Description of Minimum Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Prefer 2-4 years of experience
• Must be able to read, decode, and decipher freight coding
• Consistently lift, standing, bending, and rotating motions
• Operate hand truck and Stand up reach forklift
• Must be able to read and write English
• Basic Mathematics Skills
• Must be able to pass any federal/state/local government and company-required background checks, clearances, and/or drug and alcohol tests.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to move about the warehouse to access products, and machinery and assist others
• Must be able to move and place cartons on pallets weighing up to 60 pounds
• Must be able to bend downward using legs at the knee
• Must be able to detect, determine, perceive, identify, recognize, judge, observe, inspect, estimate, and assess product
• Must be able to communicate, detect, converse with, discern, convey, express oneself, and exchange accurate information

Skills

• Basic mathematics skills (add, divide, multiply and subtract)
• Ability to interpret instruction
• Basic computer skills
• Prefer forklift skills

• Must be reliable and dedicated to good attendance
• Must be available to occasionally work overtime, as required
• Must be adaptable to changing work tasks and workload
• Must be dedicated to working safely
