Position Summary

Amped Electric, Inc. is seeking an experienced and certified NICET III Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, programming, testing, inspection, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems in commercial, industrial, and government facilities across Interior Alaska. This is a hands-on role requiring technical expertise, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and compliance.

*Key Responsibilities*

· Install, configure, and service fire alarm systems in accordance with NFPA, state, and local codes

· Program, troubleshoot, and test fire alarm panels and associated devices

· Perform inspections and maintenance of new and existing fire alarm systems

· Generate accurate and timely service reports, documentation, and records

· Collaborate with project managers, electricians, and clients to ensure successful project execution

· Maintain compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations

· Provide training and guidance to apprentices or junior technicians when required

Qualifications

· NICET Level III in Fire Alarm Systems (required)

· Minimum 5 years of experience in fire alarm system installation, service, and maintenance

· Knowledge of NFPA 72 and applicable state/local fire codes

· Proficiency with leading fire alarm systems (Edwards/EST experience preferred)

· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents

· Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background checks for military/government base access

*Compensation & Benefits*

· Wage range: $45 – $50 per hour DOE
