Job Details
- Certified Surgical Technician position at FLPEN Sacred Heart Hosp Pens-26012, part of Ascension Health in Pensacola, Florida.
- Role involves working 40 weekly hours with on-call, weekend, and holiday requirements including New Years Eve, New Years Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and any other holiday during regularly scheduled shifts.
Job Requirements
- Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start of assignment for all licensed professionals.
- Completion of Ascension Core Competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission -NPSG, OSHA Topics with minimum 80% score, updated yearly.
- Completion of Ascension Surgical Technologist Contract Worker Onboarding Education Attestation modules prior to clearance.
- Documentation of two MMR vaccines or positive IGG Titer; no declinations accepted.
- Fit Test required for all travelers, preferred prior to start, can be completed onsite; updated annually.
- Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination.
- Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); exemptions accepted with mask requirement.
- Positive PPD requires negative chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire.
- Statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually.
- Driver's License/State ID must be current and match address on file.
- 2 Step PPD or IGRA testing required with specific timing prior to start; TB questionnaire updated annually.
- Documentation of two Varicella vaccines, serological evidence, or history verified by healthcare provider; no declinations accepted.
- Tdap vaccine valid within 10 years; no declinations accepted.
- Completion of Ascension Skills Checklist within one year of start; updated annually for specialty.
- Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days prior to start; updated annually.
- Verification of education relevant to clinical work within 90 days of start.
- Third-party employment verification for past seven years; updated annually.
- Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, Employment Verification, OIG Search, National Sex Offender, and others within 30 days of first assignment; updated annually.
